Force Technology Re-enforce the Competence of their Tank Inspectors

Inspection confidence can be a real issue in today’s tank inspection industry. Driven by safety concerns and a desire to increase in-use storage times, asset owners and engineers are demanding increasingly reliable information.

A high confidence in the asset information means improved maintenance decisions, which in turn leads to reduced downtime, increased tank usage and increased profitability.

With this requirement in mind, tank inspectors from Force Technology have successfully completed the BINDT Certification Services Division validated SNT-TC-1A MFL training course for the Magnetic Flux Leakage Method for the Inspection of Above Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs)

The combined level I/II course demonstrates Force Technology's dedication to continually improving the quality of their tank floor inspection services. Force's clients will benefit by having the additional assurance that their technicians have been trained and examined to a recognised international standard.

Run in conjunction with the South West School of NDT the course covers all things MFL from simple equipment operation to the latest MFL concepts.

The course represents the first phase towards making the MFL technique for tank inspection an industry standard and expected qualification for all inspectors.

Extra course dates have been scheduled due to the overwhelming demand with courses quickly becoming booked up for 2016.
