The Silverwing Inspection Mapping Software (SIMS) reporting suite is the most powerful and efficient way to create high-quality reports on tank condition and inspection result archiving for traceability.

SIMS imports data from Floormap3Di and automatically positions each separate plate file together to produce a CAD of the entire tank floor, showing the locations and severity of all corrosion over 20% loss or the specified value.

Additional Inspection Data

A unique feature of SIMS is the ability to add results from other inspections carried out on the tank floor. You can easily add results from visual, ultrasonic, Handscan, MFL, and even weld inspections to the SIMS report to produce a complete fingerprint of the tank floor’s condition. You can also append digital images taken during inspections to the tank data and then link them to specific areas of the tank floor to add a further layer of details to your reports.

Tank Condition Analysis

You can display corrosion as individual colored pixels to show precise information about the condition of specific areas of tank floors. Alternatively, plates can be colored according to the maximum corrosion detected on each track to provide an overview of the general condition of tanks. The Plate View enables you to view tank inspection data in more detail. Further, you can display the precise position and estimated percentage of loss of individual corrosion indications by holding the cursor over a specific point of a plate. We enhanced tank data imported from Floormap, which allows locating all top surface, bottom surface, and combined corrosion at the press of a button.

Reporting Tools

To complement its powerful reporting features, SIMS also includes several tools to help decision makers in their evaluation of inspection data. A repair plate tool is seamlessly integrated in the software to quickly design patch plate locations. Once all patch plates are input, SIMS automatically produces a cutting list showing the total amount of material necessary to repair the tank. Another innovative feature of the software is the data comparison tool, enabling you to overlay two separate sets of tank data recorded at different times, yielding a direct comparison of corrosion growth at either the tank or plate level, which is useful within the scope of risk-level assessment (RLA) and risk-based inspection (RBI) programs. The comprehensive and easy-to-use SIMS reporting and analysis tools are further enhanced with statistical displays and a comprehensive and customizable report printing tool.
